A passport is issued for a period of 10 years. A new passport is required to be obtained after the expiry of the validity of the current passport.
Application for a new passport is required to be submitted at least two months before the date of expiry of the current passport to facilitate processing of the application and issue of new passport in time.
Following documents/papers are required to be submitted:
• Application form No.EAP-1.
• Original passport, current passport and additional booklets, if any.
• Four recent colored passport size photographs.
• Fee: RMB 335.00 (36 pages)/RMB 415.00 (60 pages).
