The Embassy of India, Beijing has no authority to issue “No Objection Certificate” and “Bachelorhood Certificate” in respect of any Indian national. Any individual who desires such a declaration may have to obtain the declaratory decree from the competent court in India. If the applicant submits an affidavit stating that he is a bachelor, the Consular officer can only authenticate the signature of the applicant after satisfying himself about the identity of the applicant.
